Abstract:

Bank consolidation through merger and acquisition has been strongly argued by many researchers and policy makers with a view to enhance performances through synergy effect and wider geographical coverage of banking networks in India. The present study attempts to examine the financial performance of State Bank group during the merger period. It aims to determine the technical efficiency of all banks of State Bank group through DEA a non-parametric approach during the period from 2005 to 2016, measuring the effect of merger on State Bank of India by using paired t-test with a variables of Earning Per Shares (EPS), Price Earnings Ratio (P/E) and Market Price to Book Value of Equity (P/B) and also applied Krushkal Wallis test to show the significant difference among the banks. Finally the study found SBI along with State Bank of Indore, State Bank of Patiala and State Bank of Saurashtra have been the better performer during the study period, merger has favourable impact on financial performance of State Bank of India and also proved that, there is no significant difference among the banks.

Abstract:

From traditional era to modern era of industrialization changed so much, we saw so many changes in manufacturing and service industry in India. Now day’s government also promoting small scale companies mostly in service sector and even in India more than 80% of service sector are un-organized, where so many small players came to the field of service industry and they did so many changes in the field of service delivery. Earlier Service industries were runs and management by different government control agencies or by the government itself. Late 80s and 90s so many private stake holders came into the service sector. Government also developed PPP model of investment and management. These companies are setup and run by government sponsored facilities and incentives. At present time service is one the major industry were large number of humans are involved like other construction, mining and steel sectors etc. So, it became much more important to adopt modern HRM interventions to manage un-organized service institution India.

Abstract:

Mites are a more diverse group includes the Tetranychidae (spider mites), Astigmatidae, Phytoseiidae (predatory mites) and the Eriophyidae. Population variation has also been studied in the important bee parasitic mite Varroa jacobsoni. At the individual level these range from general approaches, such as AFLP, RAPD or DALP, to highly specific microsatellite analysis. Although these markers also work at the population and species level, additional analysis of specific nuclear or mitochondrial genes has been conducted either by RFLP or sequencing. Molecular applications had particular success in facilitating the identification of taxonomically difficult species, understanding population structures and elucidating phylogenetic relationships. The application of molecular markers to study of ticks and mites has recently yielded new insights into their population structures and taxonomic relationships. Ticks have been studied at individual, population and species level.

Plants are basic source of food and energy. Cucumber which is consumed in different ways like sweet, vegetable and salads. Cucumber (Cucumis sativus) belongs to curcurbaticeae family possess antibacterial, antimicrobial, antifunal characteristics and showed activities like antioxidant, phytochemical and hypoglycaemic activity. Its also used as traditional remedies Different genotype of plant showed different yield. The present article attempts to provide comprehensive information on pharmacological significance of Cucumis sativus for further research. All the information’s were collect from the published research paper on Cucumis sativus as for the sake of future research on it.

Abstract:

Natural form of vitamin E is composed of eight different analogues, the α-, β-, γ-, and δ-tocopherols and the α-, β-, γ-, and δ-tocotrienols. However, only α-tocopherol is selectively enriched by the liver while the other vitamin E analogues as well as excess α-tocopherol are converted to several metabolites and are subsequently eliminated. A new phosphorylated form of tocopherol, i.e. α-tocopheryl phosphate, has been shown to occur naturally in animal and human tissues as well as in foods. Two derivatives of vitamin E, i.e. α-tocopheryl phosphate (TP) and di-α-tocopheryl phosphate (T2P) possess many useful properties such as atherosclerotic-preventing effects, anti-inflammatory properties and cardioprotective ability. There are ambiguities with respect of classification of these molecules and in some literature they are referred to as phospholipids. This report aims to bring evidence that TP and T2P molecules are not phospholipids.

Abstract:

Pollution, Green houses gases and raising day to day emission of hazardous elements in the environment has given rise to a new area of marketing in the minds of the manufacturers and producers. This led to the increasing awareness among the marketers to brand and rebrands their products to their concerns towards this global problem. As a result marketers work toward environmental protection and sustainable development. Many corporate and MNC’s changed their logo brands to reflect their willingness and commitment towards overcome this problem. Consumer behaviour is one among various factors leading towards green marketing as it is consumer who has to pay for and take from the producers as per their utility (green buying) purchasing and consuming products that are hazardous towards the environment. The present study adopted simple random sampling technique for collection of data in the Jammu city. One of the Major University in the sample area (University of Jammu) was taken for the study purpose. The samples were taken in form of graduate and post graduate students for filling the questionnaires. The result revealed and depicted that among the 100 samples in the sample area, most of the respondents showed positive response to the statements followed by few respondents of negative and disagree responses. The rising number of consumers who prefer and are willing to buy eco-friendly products are creating opportunity for businesses that are using "eco-friendly" or "environmentally friendly" as a component of their value proposition. This change in consumer behaviour and attitude should be noticed by a marketer and offer their products and services to consumer in order to retain market share and build future green brands. Many studies showed that consumer preferences are changing due to this global phenomenon. This changing attitude of buying behaviour is forcing many firms to incorporate green processes. In this, it is revealed that for sample area consumers' pro-environmental concerns, knowledge of environmental issues, awareness of eco-friendly products, and educational levels factors have a positive effect on green buying behaviour.

Abstract:

Agricultural field is required to atomize in area of irrigation system. In country like India, there is no systematic organizational and institutional planning involved in cultivation, irrigation, harvesting etc...So farmers faced tough times as they have lack of information and absence of systematic monitoring and controlling.  The use of wireless sensor network (wsn) is necessary to implement control technology in application areas such as precision agriculture. The propose system has been tested with the help of Arduino, LabVIEW and Zigbee Tech.  Data is continuously monitored to achieve temperature, humidity and soil moisture. All monitoring of various parameters being sensed by arduino and then it is transmited through WSN   with help of ZigBee placed at field station to ZigBee placed at base station. Arduino is the heart of the system which is used to interface the physical environment and LabVIEW through ZigBee N/W. The data received by ZigBee placed at the receiver end can be used directly by the computer and is sent to LabVIEW to process the data. Based on analysis of data at base station through LabVIEW program, controlling action is also done in case soil moisture value is less than set value. The control signal generated is transmitted by ZigBee N/W which when received at FS coordinates the action by running the motor. The whole control and coordination of system is recursive in nature. We use the LabVIEW as a hub which governs the entire system for monitoring and controlling. This work is an example of embedded system which uses software as well as hardware implementation to achieve pre specified goal.

Abstract:

Today in this digital world image fusion is the most emerging field in the area of image processing. Its main objective is to combine two or more images in such a way as to retain the most desirable characteristics of each in resultant image. This paper discus a review on some of the image fusion techniques (simple average, simple minimum, simple maximum, PCA, DWT) and literature of the image fusion with wavelet transform is discussed with its merits and demerits. Comparison of all the techniques concludes the improved approach for its future research. In this paper also discussed the application of the image fusion in the various field image quality assessment parameters such as, mean, , entropy standard deviation, root mean squared error, mean squared error  Peak signal to noise ratio, signal to noise ratio.
