Abstract:

A hospital as a healthcare organization has been defined in varied terms as an institution involved in preventive, curative/ameliorative, palliative or rehabilitative services. However, the definition given by World Health Organization (WHO) is quite exhaustive and exclusive, in which it is defined as an integral part of social and medical organization, which is to provide for the population complete healthcare, both curative and preventive; and whose out- patient services reach out into the family in its home environment. The hospital is also center for     the training of health workers and for bio-social research. The WHO has announced its commitment to achieve the goal of “Health for All”. Most countries including India have pledged to achieve this goal. Now-a-days hospitals provide bio-social research; teaching and training facilities for doctors, nurses, Para-professions, paramedical, pharmacists, etc. Operationally, hospital provides service to out-patient, in-patient, and general wards, emergency, special wards, intensive care units, operation theatre, delivery suite and also provides support services such as pharmacy, radiology and imaging, CSSD (Central Sterile and Supplies Department), blood bank, laboratory services to the society as a whole. In Coimbatore, Government hospitals play a crucial role in providing healthcare services to a diverse population. It is important to consider the unique challenges and opportunities faced by Government hospitals in Coimbatore and how these factors impact patients’ perceptions.

Abstract:

This theoretical article proposes a framework for comprehending the mental health of parents raising children with intellectual disabilities (ID).  Drawing on stress and social support theories, it explores how chronic stressors, social isolation, and limited coping resources can impact their emotional well-being.  However, this framework also acknowledges the immense strength and resilience parents demonstrate.  By identifying these factors, the framework paves the way for developing interventions that support and empower these parents.

Abstract:

Cyber-attacks and fraud pose significant risks to individuals, organizations, and nations. The consequences of such malicious activities range from financial losses and reputational damage to national security threats. As cyber attackers continuously evolve their techniques, traditional defense mechanisms often fall short in providing adequate protection. Consequently, there is a pressing need for advanced, adaptive, and efficient solutions to detect and mitigate these threats. The rise of cyber-attacks and fraud has become a significant concern for both individuals and organizations. As a result, the need for advanced machine learning algorithms to detect and prevent these threats has never been greater.
