Buildings are constantly subjected to a variety of external pressures. The wind and seismic loads are acknowledged as the most significant due to their dynamic, unpredictable nature and substantial impact on structural performance and safety. Wind loads act externally on building surfaces, creating negative suction on leeward sides and positive pressure on windward faces. These lateral forces have a substantial impact on occupant comfort, serviceability, and structural stability, especially in tall and thin structures that are susceptible to vibration and aerodynamic instability. In contrast, seismic loads result from ground motion during earthquakes, creating inertial forces inside the structure that necessitate robust detailing, regulated energy dissipation, and ductile behavior in order to avoid catastrophic failure. The impact of these lateral forces on a variety of structural systems, such as moment-resisting frames, shear walls, braced frames, tube structures, and dual systems, is examined in this study along with an evaluation of each system's relative performance under both loading scenarios. The efficiency of the system is evaluated by looking at important factors such as lateral displacement, interstory drift, base shear, and structural ductility. The basic distinctions between wind and seismic load characteristics and their unique design requirements are highlighted by a comparative analysis.

The hospitality industry has increasingly shifted from a service-oriented model to an experience-driven approach in which customer emotions play a significant role in determining satisfaction and loyalty. While traditional hospitality research has focused on food quality, service efficiency, and operational performance, growing attention has been directed toward the emotional aspects of dining experiences and their influence on customer behaviour.
This conceptual study explores the emerging concept of emotional dining experiences within the hospitality industry. The study is based on a review and synthesis of existing literature drawn from hospitality management, consumer behaviour, experience economy, and emotional design research. The analysis identifies five key dimensions that contribute to emotional dining experiences: sensory experiences, dining ambiance, service quality, social interaction, and cultural influences.
The study argues that emotional dining experiences are multidimensional and result from the interaction of environmental, social, cultural, and service-related factors. These experiences influence important customer outcomes, including guest satisfaction, emotional attachment, positive word-of-mouth communication, and customer loyalty. Based on the literature, a conceptual framework is proposed to explain the relationship between the factors shaping emotional dining experiences and their outcomes.
The paper contributes to hospitality literature by providing an integrated understanding of emotional dining experiences as an emerging area of research. It also offers practical insights for hospitality practitioners seeking to create meaningful and memorable customer experiences. The study concludes that emotional engagement is becoming an important determinant of hospitality success and presents opportunities for further research in this developing field.
