Abstract:

The exploitation of discarded tea (without any expensive treatment) as an economical, plentiful and green adsorbent has been investigated as an alternate to costlier activated carbon for the removal of acid yellow 17 dye from textile wastewater. Batch adsorption method is followed in this work and various parameters like adsorbent dose, pH, and initial dye concentration were optimized. Adsorption data fit best into freundlich isotherm model of adsorption due to high correlation coefficient (R2 = 0.947). Adsorbent was characterized through SEM and FTIR techniques which determined the porous nature of the adsorbent and the chemical groups on its surface. Maximum adsorption capacity was found to be 2.79 mg per gram of discarded tea (DT) as an adsorbent. From the D-R isotherm, values of K and Qm were deduced to be -0.0000009 mol2/KJ2 and 2.509 mg/g This study concluded that DT could be used as successful and low-cost adsorbent in the treatment of wastewater polluted with textile dyes.

Abstract:

Optical Pulse Oximetry is feasibly the greatest advance in patient monitoring. Pulse Oximetry enables oxygenation, an important physiological variable that is not properly detected by clinical means, to be monitored continuously and easily [1]. Hypoxemia is commonly found in all aspects of medical practice and is a major cause of organ abnormality and death. It should be widely available in market and used routinely in clinical practice both in primary care and in hospital [2].

This paper will design a non-invasive Arduino based optical pulse oximeter. The pulse oximeter consists of a sensor and an Arduino microcontroller. In it photo transistor sensor is used for the pulse wave's detection, and the Arduino microcontroller is used to analyze the pulse wave to calculate the oxygen saturation (SaO2). The results are displayed on a light emitter diode. This paper designs a reflectance pulse oximeter sensor that includes two light emitting diodes (LEDs), in which one in the visible red spectrum (660nm) and the other in the infrared spectrum (890nm) [12] [13].

The oxygen saturation is calculated by the help of intensity from each frequency of light after it reflects through the body tissue. The pulse oximeter uses the ARDUINO as microcontroller, which has ultra-low power capability, so the system's power consumption is very low [3].

Abstract:

Dental implant is one of the most popular methods of tooth root replacement used in prosthetic surgery. This paper presents a construction of a Real-time dental implant tracking system for dental implant surgery. The placement of dental implant is critical since positioning mistakes can lead to permanent damage in the nerves, numbness and failure of the implant and crown. The main goal of this study is how to measure the position, length, depth or angulations and estimation of thickness of jaw bone. A non-invasive system has been design using 3D electromagnetic motion tracking system for visualization of drill movement for dental treatment. Their systems either require a special tool tip calibration device or are unable to change the different tool.

Abstract:

Traditionally electrical devices in premises are controlled via switches that regulate the electricity to these devices. As the world gets more and more technologically advanced, we find new technology coming in deeper and deeper around the world and becoming a common practice. The process of premises automation works by making everything in the house automatically controlled using technology to control and do the jobs that we would normally do manually. The FM receiver receives the modulated signal and demodulates it and the Dual Tone Multi Frequency decoder determines the user choice. Based up on this the required devices is triggered.
